The list of Eligible Offerings.

What fees are charged by CCePay?
There is a 1 time set up fee of Rs.2500/- or as per Tariff. CCePay collects only a 6.5% commission on each sale plus a Rs.46/- charge per transaction. There are no leases, no monthly fees, no application fees, no gateway fees and no statement fees!

How do I fill orders?
As soon as customers place an order you will receive detailed order information via email from CCePay so you can view the order. Detailed records of each transaction are also stored on our servers and can be accessed by you using our Merchant Login Screens.

Is there a maximum number of products I can sell?
No.

Is there a maximum Rupee INR "Rs." amount of sales I can conduct each month?
No.

How and when will I be paid?
Suppliers with Indian Bank accounts will have payments electronically deposited directly to any bank account at very nominal cost as per Tariff Scheme.

Suppliers without a Indian Bank account can have their payments option via international wire payment. Fees for an international wire start at Rs.1550/- $35 and go down Rs.250/-$6 per transfer. Each accounting period is 15 days in length. A new period begins the 1st and 16th day of each month.

All transactions that occur within this period will be processed and payments will be dispersed as follows:

  • Payment for orders shipped between the 1st and the 15th of the month will be dispersed on or about the 16th of that month.
  • Payment for orders shipped between the 16th and the end of the month will be dispersed on or about the 1st of the following month.

If your sales are over Rs.50, 000/- ($1,000) a week, weekly disbursements are possible. Weekly disbursements are reviewed on a case by case basis.

Example of criteria that may influence your approval for weekly payments:

  • Transactions on your account occurring for 8 weeks with little or no buyer complaints, or charge back problems,
  • Your sales greatly exceed Rs.50, 000/- a week,
  • You can provide sales contracts or other documentation proving the legitimacy of your orders,
  • You can provide suitable business references or other documentation establishing a concrete business history.

Account Verification:
All new accounts will be subjected to our account verification processes. While this process is usually seamless, difficulty in verifying the legitimacy and status of your account can result in the delay of your initial payments.

If your account has not been cleared for release of payment within three (3) days of the close of a payment period (1st and 16th of each calendar month) you will receive a notification via email of the delay in payment.

Important Note:
Suppliers selling tangible goods should not expect payment until CCePay can confirm receipt of goods shipped and received as per the terms advertised on the supplier's website or auction. Delaying shipment until you receive funds is not considered an acceptable business practice.

Suppliers selling intangible goods such as service related products (e-downloads, hosting, etc.) should not expect payment until CCePay can confirm that your services have been rendered.

Suppliers who establish a new account within five (5) days of a payment cycle release date will not receive a disbursement of funds until the next payment period ends (approximately two (2) weeks).

All Payments are subject to Reserve Funds stipulated below.

How and when will I be paid?
CCePay holds a reserve for chargebacks, refunds, in event the supplier goes out of business, becomes unreachable or simply stops processing sales through CCePay.

For all new accounts the reserve begins at 5% of the total amount charged and not refunded within the payment period. The reserve amount is held for 180 days and then released.

Reserve Example (5% Reserve Level, 180 day hold):

June 1st payment cycle

Rs.120 in sales
Rs. 20 in refunds from sales in this payment period
Rs. 10 in refunds from sales in a previous payment period

The reserve held would be Rs.5 or ( (Rs.120 – Rs.20) * 5% ).

Under this example the Rs.5 would be released to you on the December 1st payment cycle.

How and when will I be paid?
The amount of reserve and the period of time it is held can be adjusted either higher or lower by CCePay at it’s sole discretion. Factors that can influence reserve levels:
  • Transaction, refund and chargeback history with CCePay,
  • Transaction, refund and chargeback history with a merchant account provider ( statements required ),
  • Suitable business references or other documentation establishing a concrete business history,
  • The nature of the product being sold,
  • The time required until product fulfillment ( i.e. a one year membership ).

What are CCePay's refund and dispute policies?
We prefer that customers contact you directly to request a refund. If a customer contacts us we will refer them to you to resolve the issue and let them know that if they are not satisfied with your resolution that they may contact us for resolution. You should also let customers know that they can contact us to mediate the dispute if they are dissatisfied with your proposed resolution.

In most situations when a customer asks for a refund, we believe that it is good business to grant that refund. Here are some guidelines on our refund and dispute policies:

  • If a customer is dissatisfied with a product that he/she has ordered, the supplier should accept the product back and grant a refund. If desired, a supplier may specify that shipping charges are not refundable; however we would prefer to refund the shipping charges as well.
  • If a customer claims that a product was never received, we will grant a refund unless the supplier can show proof of delivery. If you are shipping expensive items (or if the customer is returning expensive items), please be sure to use a shipping method that provides proof of delivery.
Keep in mind that if the customer presses the issue with his/her credit card company it can result in a charge back or forced refund from the credit card company thereby adding additional by Charge Back Fee expense to you.

How can I cancel or refund an order after it's been placed?
You can easily issue refunds or cancel orders through the Merchant Administration Interface.

How Can I reduce the occurrence of customer disputes?
  • If you are shipping expensive items, use a package service that provides proof of delivery. There will always be some customers out there who falsely claim that a package was not received (and occasionally there will be packages that truly are lost or stolen). Since you bear the responsibility for those losses, you should take care not to put large amounts of money at risk.
Hint: The Indian & US Post Office provides insurance on packages for a small fee that has the side effect of causing the receiver of the package to sign and indicate that the parcel arrived undamaged.
  • Be accessible if customers can reach you to have their questions answered about products they are less likely to be dissatisfied when the order arrives.
  • Be sure that customers are completely familiar with your offering before they order. Thoroughly describe your offering, show photos, and disclosing any important limitations. Ensuring the customer's expectations match what arrives in the mail will save you and the customer time, money and aggravation.

I have received a fraud alert, what does this mean?
After orders go through the automated screening process, those that have discrepancies will be manually reviewed by a fraud analyst within 24 hrs. You will receive 1 of 4 email notifications:
  • CONFIRMED — The order has passed the review and will be allowed to process. Email is sent to vendor only.
  • FAIL — The order has been canceled due to fraud. Email is sent to vendor only.
  • QUESTIONABLE — The order has not been canceled, but has additional concerns, vendor is advised to do own investigation and cancel if necessary. Email is sent to vendor only.
  • CHALLENGE — The order has been temporarily canceled (generally due to high dollar amount and unable to voice verify). Cancellation can be reversed. Email sent to vendor and buyer.

What is a chargeback dispute?
A chargeback dispute is a forced refund from a customer's credit card company. It occurs when a cardholder decides to formally dispute a charge on his/her credit card bill, often because someone else fraudulently used that card number before the abuse had been discovered or reported. Chargeback disputes occur on less than 1% of all CCePay transactions.

According to credit card association rules, Internet merchants must accept credit card fraud as part of the normal risk of doing business on the Internet.

The amount of credit card fraud you experience will vary according to the type of products you sell. Products which appeal to children, teenagers, and unmarried men will experience a higher degree of credit card fraud. Products which are purchased primarily by professionals, women, and families will experience a lower amount of fraud.

When an issuing bank sends a chargeback dispute, the bank also charges a research fee. This fee can range from Rs.500/- $10 to Rs.1500/- $30 depending on the bank. CCePay reserves the right to pass the bank's charge back fee on to Merchant involved.
